Scandinavian quality register
for Thyroid- and Parathyroid Surgery
incorporating Adrenal Surgery

Welcome to the Scandinavian quality register for Thyroid- and Parathyroid Surgery incorporating Adrenal Surgery. The aim of this database is to register operations in order to improve the quality of diagnostics, surgery and follow-up routines in cases of surgical disease in the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. The register also supports clinical research.

The quality register has become an important part of the efforts to improve modern health care. The Scandinavian quality register for Thyroid- and Parathyroid Surgery incorporating Adrenal Surgery invites all clinics in Scandinavia that conduct this type of surgery to participate in the register.

Operations can be registered as from 1 January 2004.

The database was established with grants from European Union (Interreg, IIIA) and receives financial support from the Swedish Board of Health and Social Welfare. The Swedish Association of Endocrine Surgeons (Svensk Förening för Endokrin Kirurgi), and the Swedish Association of Oto-rhino-laryngeology, Head and Neck Surgery (Svensk Förening för Oto-rhino-laryngeology, Huvud- och Halskirurgi), as well as the Section of Endocrine Surgery, of the Danish Surgical Society, call on their members to participate.
