The Register

Surgical procedures to treat diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands are relatively common. The Scandinavian quality register for thyroid and parathyroid surgery was established in 2004, with the goal of improving quality of medical care (diagnostics, surgery, and follow-up).
The individual patient's perception of the disease and surgical treatment are also of great interest. The register supports clinical research in an effort to improve future medical treatment.

The very act of participating in the register shows that the clinic is serious about quality of care in this field. The quality of recorded data is verified through open external audits and through random screening.
